Yesterday was an incredible day for our La Vernia Special Olympics team as they traveled to Poteet to compete in the AMC Track Meet on April 1!
We proudly had:
✨ 18 High School athletes
✨ 11 Junior High athletes
✨ 17 Intermediate athletes
✨ 13 Primary athletes
…all representing LVISD with heart, determination, and true Bear spirit! 🐾
From the starting line to the finish, our athletes showed outstanding effort, sportsmanship, and perseverance. Every event was a reminder of what it means to be part of something bigger—supporting one another, giving it your all, and celebrating every achievement along the way.
We are beyond proud of each one of these amazing Bears for the hard work and positivity they brought to the track. You represented La Vernia with excellence! 💙🤍

Today, we had the honor of celebrating Mrs. Celeste Nored, our incredible Junior High Theatre teacher, who was named KSAT Educator of the Month! 🌟
In partnership with Firstmark Credit Union, the KSAT team, joined by Firstmark representatives, surprised Mrs. Nored in her classroom with a celebration filled with excitement, applause, and a few happy tears.
Mrs. Nored inspires her students every day through creativity, confidence, and a love for the arts. Her classroom is a place where students find their voice, take risks, and truly shine on and off the stage. 🎬✨

Get ready for a well-deserved break! LVISD will be on Spring Break March 9th–13th. We hope everyone enjoys a week of rest, fun, and time with family and friends. ☀️

Breakfast Was Extra Fun This Week at La Vernia ISD! 🥞🍓
Our Child Nutrition team had a great time celebrating National School Breakfast Week (March 2–5) with fun breakfast favorites for students across the district!
Students were able to sample new breakfast items during meal service, and many of those items were then served the next day for breakfast. It was exciting to see students try new foods and discover some new favorites!
