We are so grateful to all of our La Vernia ISD families who joined us for our Posada last Thursday evening. Thank you to the parents for allowing your children to participate and for generously bringing delicious food to share — it truly made the night special.
A huge thank you to our amazing volunteers and HEB employees for giving your time and energy to help make this event a success. We couldn’t have done it without you!
Our students had a fantastic time making piñata crafts, playing lotería, and enjoying all the yummy food while celebrating this beautiful tradition together. 💙

🎉🐻 We're thrilled to announce that Tracey Krenek, student council advisor at La Vernia Junior High, has been named the 2025 TASC Middle-Level Advisor of the Year! 🐻🎉
Mrs. Krenek’s leadership, heart, and unwavering dedication have led our Student Council to numerous Outstanding Student Council and Sweepstakes Awards, while staying actively involved at both the TASC District and State levels. She leads with passion, listens with purpose, and lifts up every Bear she guides. 💫💙🤍
As one student shared: “She takes extra steps to ensure her students feel supported, inspired, and valued — creating a lasting impact on their lives.”

🎁 Annual BPA Drives: Supporting Our Community & Those in Need This Season 💙🐻
'Tis the season of giving, and our incredible La Vernia BPA students are once again stepping up to serve others through TWO heartwarming community drives — the Bear Drive and Essentials Drive. These projects run year-round and make a direct impact on children and families both here in La Vernia and beyond. 💫
💙 BPA Bear Drive – Comfort in Crisis
Led by Junior Allison Thompson, this drive collects NEW, small teddy bears for our local first responders to keep in their vehicles. These bears are given to young children during emergency calls to provide comfort during tough times.
🧸 Bears must be new and fit in a gallon-sized Ziploc bag.
🧸 Drop-off: Front office or Room 432 at LVHS.
💙 BPA Essentials Drive – Serving Families in Crisis
Led by Senior Jason Granto, this drive supports the Children’s Shelter of San Antonio and surrounding shelters. We're collecting:
🍼 Hygiene products
🧦 New socks (all sizes)
🛏 Blankets
👶 Diapers, wipes, pacifiers, bottles
🧼 Other daily necessities for children and families
📦 Donation boxes are located in the LVHS front office, or items may be delivered to Room 432 through any BPA member.
🌟 If you're able to donate or help us spread the word, your support means everything! Together, we’re showing what it means to be part of the Bear Family—strong, compassionate, and united. 💙🐻
