Valerie Frazier Earns Awards at TSPRA

La Vernia Independent School District has been recognized by the Texas School Public Relations Association (TSPRA) with multiple Star Awards, honoring excellence in school communications across Texas.

La Vernia ISD received the following recognitions in the less than 15,000 students division:

  • Gold Star Award – Invitation/Announcement/Postcard/Thank You Note category for “Superintendent for the Day”

  • Silver Star Award – Academic/Classroom Subjects Photography category for “Teaching is SO MUCH FUN!”

  • Gold Star Award – Logo, Trademark, Symbol category for the La Vernia ISD Seal & Logo

All award-winning entries were created by Valerie Frazier, Director of Public Relations for La Vernia ISD.

The TSPRA Star Awards recognize outstanding communications and marketing work produced by Texas school districts and education organizations. Entries are evaluated by independent judges and scored based on creativity, quality, and effectiveness.

This year, 1,937 entries were submitted ​b​y school districts and education organizations across Texas, with Gold, Silver, and Bronze Star Awards presented to entries that meet the association’s high standards of excellence.

“We are honored to be recognized by TSPRA for the communications work happening in La Vernia ISD,” said Frazier. “These awards reflect the district’s commitment to sharing the stories of our students, staff, and community in meaningful and engaging ways.”

The awards were announced during the TSPRA 64th Annual Conference held in February 2026 in Galveston, Texas.
