La Vernia ISD has a vital interest in maintaining a safe, secure and healthy learning environment for our students. We know that the use of illegal drugs poses a serious health and safety risk for the user, those students associated with the user, and potentially to the public. With that in mind, for the 2020-2021 school year, we will be implementing a mandatory drug testing program for students in grades 7-12 who participate in any school-sponsored, extra or co-curricular activities and/or who wish to park a vehicle on school property.
