Section 504

  • The Rehabilitation Act of 1973, also known as “Section 504”, is a federal law passed by the US Congress with the purpose of prohibiting discrimination against disabled persons.  Section 504 ensures that students with disabilities that substantially limit a major life activity are provided with educational benefits and opportunities equal to those provided to non-disabled peers. If your child has a disability that may require 504 services, please contact the counselor at your child’s campus for more information.
