Student Nutrition Plan

  • Hi LVISD Community!

Our Child Nutrition Department would like to inform you that our last day for student meal pickup at an LVISD facility will be this Wednesday, May 20, 2020. This meal pickup opportunity will supply families with meals through Friday, May 22, which is the last day of the 2019-2020 LVISD school year calendar.

We are also excited to share that student meal pickup opportunities will still be available to LVISD families this summer through East Central ISD! ECISD will offer student meal pickup to LVISD families on Friday, May 22, and Wednesday, May 27. ECISD will also operate the Summer Food Service Program beginning June 1 at the following sites: Tradition Elementary, East Central High School, Heritage Middle School, Harmony Elementary, Highland Forest Elementary, and Salado Elementary. You can find more information about the Summer Food Service Program in the flyer at the link below and get the street addresses to ECISD facilities at this link: https://www.ecisd.net/domain/2252. Additional information can also be located on the East Central ISD Facebook page.

Please note: LVISD families will need student information such as a progress report or birth certificate to confirm their students’ age/grade and receive meals at an ECISD facility. If you have questions, please contact East Central ISD Child Nutrition at 210-634-1381. Parents can also call 2-1-1 to find a summer meal site closest to them.

It has been a pleasure serving the community during these very unusual times and we look forward to continuing to serve you during the 2020-2021 school year!

    Thank you,

    LVISD Child Nutrition Department

  • Our Health Services staff understands that parents of students with medication in our campus clinics may be in need of them before our return from the closure, and we want to make getting them to you as easy as possible while keeping the health of all in mind.

Please remember to continue checking our Critical Updates page for current information and learning resources, and do not hesitate to contact our nurses if we may be of service in any way.

Wellness Information

  • District staff will continue our comprehensive disinfecting process in classrooms and high-traffic areas while we are closed to help fight the spread of illness and keep our facilities safe. We encourage you to join us in our health and wellness efforts by speaking to your child about these illness prevention measures:

    • Wash your hands regularly using soap and water for about 20 seconds.
    • If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
    • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth as much as you can.
    • Avoid close contact with people who are sick and stay home if you are sick.
    • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue or the inside of your elbow.
    • For additional steps to prevent the spread of illness, visit the CDC website.

Travel Advisory

  • If you or anyone in your household has traveled recently, especially via air or cruise ship, please follow the CDC guidelines regarding health monitoring and possible self-quarantine.
