Students applying for the National Honor Society should:

• Have attended La Vernia High School a minimum of one full semester before applying.
• Be a junior or senior in high school.
• Maintain a 92 or higher cumulative GPA.
• Exhibit leadership skills and be involved in a variety of extracurricular and/or work activities. 
• Have a variety of community service projects/hours. 
• Commit to monthly meetings and other NHS events that arise throughout the year. 

Note: All students who meet the first requirement of GPA will be given an application.
