Two LVISD Students are State Bound

On Saturday, February 27, 2010, students from La Vernia High School competed in the UIL Vocal and Piano Solo/Ensemble competition at Madison High School in San Antonio, Texas. Brandon Padier (Sophomore) scored a First Division rating for his solo piano performance of George Gershwin’s Prelude I and II. Carly Green (Senior) scored a First Division rating for her solo vocal performance of “Per la gloria d’adorarvi” by Bononcini. Both students advanced to State and will be competing at the State UIL Solo and Ensemble competition May 29-31, 2010 at Hendrickson High School in Pflugerville, Texas. Good Luck!!!!!
