Mission Statement The La Vernia Child Nutrition Department will strive to provide Quality meals with Nutrition and Variety to each child.
We believe all students should have access to meals that will furnish the nourishment required for optimal growth, development, and academic success, set forth by Dietary Guidelines. We believe open lines of communication should be maintained between Child Nutrition Department and the students, parents, staff, and community. We believe financial responsibility should continue to be practiced by Child Nutrition Services. We believe the Child Nutrition Department has a well organized Hazardous Analysis Critical Control Plan in place, (HACCP) to ensure all of the processes are followed to serve the safest food available to our students. We believe that LV Child Nutrition Department strives to be one of the top programs in the state of Texas. We believe that students through nutrition have better attendance records and test scores.
