La Vernia to Compete in the UIL CX Debate State Meet in Austin

Yesterday the district CX debate meet was held here in La Vernia to decide which two teams compete at the UIL CX Debate State Meet in Austin.
La Vernia will once again be filling both of those spots.
All three of our CX teams made it to semifinals and the results are as follows:
4th place the team of Haley Czarnek and Taylor Johnson
3rd place Somerset A Team
2nd place the team of Boyd Garriott and Logan Mills
1st place the team of Hunter Haliscak and Trevor Barnett
Trevor Barnett also won the top speaker award for the district.
